  1. The mayo clinic and some of the banner hospitals accept 1 year of customer service as valid experience. I have also seen a few postings in the past 2 weeks that stated you could work w/o experience even while getting your certification as a CNA for banner, so keep loocking and don't give up!
  2. This is all quite helpful information. Thank you!
  3. Early admission is when you are accepted into the program early. For instance, I applied for the spring semester starting in febuary and have been told by the director of admissions that I am in the program, I should be receiving my official acceptance letter this week. They gave me the option to start in october, but I am taking a C.N.A course before starting at chamberlain, so I turned the october spot down.
  4. I haven't had internet access for the past month so I haven't been able to post this, but yeay I was accepted to chamberlain with. My ged instead of hs transcripts. I was told I have early admission for febuary... and then the admissions director called me yesterday and gave me the option to start october, but I am going to wait till febuary it is a lot to do in just one week before orientation for october. So is anyone else going to the feb start? They said. We should start getting early acceptance letters within 2 weeks.... I am excited
  5. My advisor told me that Everyone who applied for the July 29th admissions committee was pushed to September 9th. Which just means all of the early acceptance slots are full. They cant give out all of the slots as early acceptance. If you havent heard anything i would call the school and inquire about that.
  6. How was your file reviewed if the admissions comittee is on Thursday?
  7. I did apply for this October, My advisor said that the essay is no longer a formal part of the application, but adding one is an option. I have what he said was a unique story as to why i would like to be a nurse, and he wanted me to be able to convey that to the admissions committee because i do not have any college background. I was told that having an essay no longer adds points to your application though. But yes I did write one.
  8. Thank you, I actually read through this entire thread before posting on it so i had seen that advice from you on a previous post and checked there prior to posting. I like to be through and make sure my questions are not previously answered. But again thank you for the reiteration. I will keep an eye on my spam box.
  9. Thank you for all of this information it has been extremely helpful!
  10. Hello everyone, I recently applied at Chamberlain for the BSN program. I was told by my advisor that I should receive an answer this week , however I am very anxious. I recieved a 94% on my HESI, but I do not have a GPA I only have a GED with a score of 65. My advisor told me that my scores for both are very high and my chances are really good, he also said that my essay was excellent. I have not seen anyone else with my situation of having a GED w/o prior college courses. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any idea of what my chances are? Or if anyone else has been accepted with a GED? Thanks
