Brookline College Accelerated Nursing Program

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey! Is there anyone attending Brookline College (in Phoenix, AZ) new accelerated bachelor's degree program. I plan to start it May 9th and would like to know anyone's opinion on the school?

they only other options are a couple other for profits and the cc here and university but both those have 2-3 wait lists :( I talked to the biggest hospital here where I live and they only hire bsns :/

In my experience, the only people that are very sour about Brookline are the ones that got kicked out themselves, due to poor grades. Passing is 77% in the nursing core classes, and if you fail more than 2 courses you are dropped from the program. I have this semester and 1 more to go, and my lowest overall grade has been an 87%. It's not that hard. However people that fail get frustrated at the school, and tell others to stay clear.

Thanks, a lot of people said to look online about them besides they charge quite a bit I haven't really found anything bad about them so they can't be that horrible and I am looking at the Albuquerque campus but looks like all the campuses have great pass rates according to the state bon sites

Hi I talked to an advisor at Brookline and got registered they are now fully accredited by CCNE as of Tuesday 9f this week, and they are fully accredited by ACEN I was really skeptical with this college because it is not well known. I looked on the accreditation websites to find out myself if they were accredited and they are. I applied for GCU for the past 2 years every semester and was put on a waiting list everytime. I received a phone call from the advisor at GCU and they told me that they will no longer Conside transfer students for there nursing program. They have been making huge changes the past couple years but did not bother to tell me this till after I spent all this money on background checks and other nonsense charges. I am done with GCU and brookline is gaving me an opportunity to be a nurse. I do tons a research on the program before making a decision and I have looked at job placements, NCLEX pass rates, accreditations, I looked at grad schools to see if my credits would transfer if I pursue my career after my BSN, I looked at reviews from other students. The only thing that I don't like is that it is not regionally accredited. Other than that it seems like a great legit program.

I have been looking into Brookline and two things concern me (beyond the cost). There is a pending complaint logged against them with the AZ Board of Nursing, but it does not say what the complaint(s) is/are. To be fair, GCU just recently got in trouble because they did not have enough clinical facilities for all their students, among other things. So, does anyone know what the complaints are? Also, per the Board I saw that only 47% of students graduated "on-time" from last year. I am not sure if this is because many people either dropped out or failed out, but that is a large amount of students that did not graduate.

I start brookline in august and am so thrilled to begin this journey. Who else is starting? I have a few more pre reqs to take and then I'm in.

Hey Nursingstudent1012! I take my HESI exam this week, but it looks like my previous fears have been put to rest and I will also be starting in August (unless I really do poorly on my HESI). I plan on taking my last pre req with them (stats).

I'm planning on starting in January 2016; I've been accepted into the Nursing program and just need to work on financial aid. I'm just worried as time is getting closer if it's the right decision. My tuition for the BSN course will be $70,000.00 which isn't bad considering my brother just graduated from ASU and spent $60,000.00. Is there anyone who has actually completed the BSN program at Brookline? I met a Nurse at one of the Banner hospitals when my sister was in there and she wasn't happy with Brookline at all. Any input is welcomed!

No worries about the hesi. It is pretty basic. I suggest taking reading comp first since it's most time consuming. Stats is not difficult either which there is no reasons. How exciting!!!

Brookline accelerated BSN Aug 31,2015 start- is there anyone starting on this date? I will be moving from Oregon and am looking to rent a room. I have two female spayed cats that are very well behaved. Heather

Hi Delia,

I will be starting Aug 31st, 2015 as well. I am moving from Oregon, have two cats, and am looking to rent a room...

Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of our cohort this August!

Best,

Heather

Hi Heather,

I start the same cohort! Brookline doesn't offer housing but they do have someone to help you find an apt near campus. Ask your advisor.
