Good day! I just received the request for application pack from the NMC, In the booklet it is said that I need to pay an application fee of 140GBP, i read that I can pay through check, bank draft or credit card. JUST THAT. There was no specific instruction on how to actually send your payment. Any overseas nurses out there who has already paid the application fee? how did you do it? if you used bank draft/personal checks, what banks do the NMC honor? Would really appreciate the help.

Good day.. can anyone please tell me where can I get the PRN? is it issued along with pack 1? Thanks...

Yes, it's in Pack 1. It's the first thing you will see before the body of the letter that comes with the pack.

hi raij.. we have the same problem.. im a second courser and my RLE did not meet the required number of hours by NMC.. however im still pursuing with my registration and just have my fingers crossed for it... im a bit confident because i know a batchmate of mine who was approved and is already in the UK.. u woulnt know unless u take risks...

Hi there. I guess we're in the same boat here If you don't mind me asking, which pack are you at? Are you currently working and are you with any agency? Sorry to be nosy. It's just maybe we could help each other along the way. :)

hi there.. thanks for that reply i appreciate it..:redpinkhe

Hi guys, I would just like to ask, I have already received my NMC Mandatory pack two days ago, and may I just ask how did you guys send it back? Isn’t it they provided an envelope? Is that the envelope that you are going to use to send it back? And if so, may I ask what documents from their letter did you send back? Thank you! I would really appreciate your help on this. J

Just so we're on the same page here, are you referring to the 1st pack? Because there are 2 packs actually. But if you are on your 1st pack, my meager knowledge might helpl:D Yes you will use the envelope included in the pack to send it back. You will send all the forms back EXCEPT for the instruction sheet. To be more specific the following should be returned:

(1)Face sheet (the one where you provide details of your IELTS)

(2) request form for registrations certificate + authenticated copy of your board certificate

(3) request form for birth certificate +authenticated copy of birth certificate (i actually submitted the original NSO copy of my birth certificate)

(4)request form for registration license + authenticated photocopy of your license

(5) request form for passport + authenticated photocopy of your passport (I photocopied mine then brought it to DFA for authentication)

I think that sums it all up. I'll check back with you later 'cause I might have forgotten something. As for the payment, I paid with a credit card. I couldn't find a bank that issues bank drafts in pounds. If you don't have your own credit card, you can ask your friends/relatives to lend you one. And to save on mailing, just mail it at your local post office as REGISTERED MAIL. It's cheaper, P120. Mine reached it's destination in less than 2 weeks. I know so because they received my documents before I finally decided to call them up to settle the fee of 140 pounds. :p To pay by credit card call: 0207 333 6600. Please note time difference. We are 8 hours ahead of their time plus they are on daylight saving time which means 9 a.m. is 8 a.m. I hope I'm not confusing you. :uhoh3: (I have globe SIM so I dialed this sequence: 1280044 2073336600. You may not connect on the first try so try again :D)

NOTE: f you are using someone else's credit card, the owner should be beside you to supply the details for the credit card. The will only ask you details like PRN #, name, birth date but the credit card information should be provided by the owner of the credit card himself/herself.

BTW, I didn't know how to label the forms so I referred only to it as request forms. Call them however you like.:D

Hello raij, thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. I would just like to ask, what do you mean by the request forms? So it means that I will also be sending the request forms plus the authenticated copies of my certified documents? I think I will pay through a bank draft. Also, may I know if you are under an agnecy? Yup I am referring to the first pack, thank you so much!

Hey, Anna Potter. I was referring to those forms that you sort of detach, some of it you fill out information, others you sort of sign. Like I said I called them request forms coz I didn't know how else to call them. :D Wasn't there an instruction somewhere that you are supposed to return the forms together with the authenticated documents. Read and reread the instructions, they're all there. To answer your question, yes, you need to return SOME of the forms. Not all that was contained in the packet though. You can always pay with a bank draft if you can find a bank that does it in POUNDS. I've asked Metrobank, Chinabank, Banco de Oro, PNB, you name it. They only do bank draft in dollars. :crying2: No, I'm not with an agency yet. Though I made inquiries already.

Hey raij, oh okay, I see what you mean, thank you. I've reread my forms and I see your point, thanks!:D I hope I can see a bank that does a draft in pounds. have any of you guys tried applying in greenfields?

Did that. They require applicants to be currently employed. Too bad for me. :crying2: By the way, better if you have your birth certificate notarized instead of sending an original NSO certified copy. I just noticed there's no seal or any indication at all that it is NSO certified so they might question it. Or if you could, ask NSO to put a seal or mark of any sort on it just to be safe. Not that it is a critical issue but it might cause unnecessary delays. Lots of luck.:D

hi guys, i just received my decision letter from the NMC advising me to attend the Oveseas Nursing Programme. since there are no UK employers hiring for the moment, do you suggest i try the agency Global Visa Support? they say they will facilitate the ONP by enrolling you to a university and will look for a hospital that will issue a work permit for the supervised training... i need advise guys...thanks =)

Hiya guys, I have just received my assessment letter from the NMC. I would like to know the application process in applying for the ONP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've been told, you need to apply for a university approved by the NMC and the uni will be the ones to secure a supervised placement in an affiliated hospital. It was also stated in the assessment letter that "in order to enrol... you will need to contact an approved educational institution directly".

However, from scouring through a couple of university websites, they prefer that you have secured a practice placement first before applying for the ONP course while other universities did not mention the need for a placement.

That left me a bit confused: apply for a placement in an approved care home/hospital first or go to the university first?

With regards to SECOND COURSERS, I myself took the nursing degree in two years. What I did with my NMC application is that I asked my college dean to write me a certification which states that I have already finished by basic general education subjects, hence requiring me to only comply the nursing theories and the RLE.

For the required number of hours, I included the minor subjects from my first degree (which was Medical Technology) and added that one to my nursing subjects so I can reach the required number of theoretical and practical hours. I'm happy to say that it produced a positive outcome.

Anyway, can someone shed some light on my original query?

Happy holidays everyone
