Hi! Just want to ask where can i get the fingerprint card and how much is it?

And do i really need to request for interim permit? what is it for? I would be taking NCLEX-CA..

tnx!

hi, the ca bon already sent me a card but the prob is i messed it up. so i had to order again online. how will i pay for it? do i have to apply for another application and pay $75 for the application and then another $32 for the new card?? please help

No, you have already paid the licensing fee, that is not redone, there was not a problem with your application.

The $32 fee is for the processing of the fingerprint cards, if you have not even submitted them they have not been processed as of yet. So you do not need to resubmit the fee. You just need to obtain new cards, that is all.

thank you so much!!

i'm a fresh graduate of BSNursing from the philippines po..

i just wanna ask if a request for interim permit is necessary for application for NCLEX

and

as i have stated i am a fresh graduate so i don't hold any license yet.. i have read that a letter regarding not having a license yet should include my application.. i'm confused of what the letter is supposed to contain exactly...

Interim is not necessary for application for licensure. In fact there are many on here who have passed NCLEX without stepping foot in the US. If you haven't taken local boards then that is all that you need to explain in the letter, but be aware that it will take a while due to retrogression for you to get to the US and it may change and become a requirement for the US. Saying that I am sure there are a few states that do require local licensure and there are also a lot of countries that require local license

With regards to requesting to your fingerprint card in Cali yes your right you can request directly from the website of BON-cali there it's still free of charge. The moment you send your application($75) with the fingerprint and the bankdraft thats the time you'll pay for the processing of the fingerprint card which costs $32 Go to NBI Carriedo in Manila because they do process fingerprint cards there from different states in the UNited States. for free you'll just have to pay 20 pesos for entrance to NBI. But if your in the province i think you can process your NBI to their regional offices. I hope this helps.

Also not all states require CGFNS exam although a lot require CES from CGFNS. Only do the exam if state requires it. Suggested starting points are the sticky called Primer to working in the USA and threads on retrogression as you will be affected

If looking at Chicago then you need to look at the Illinois nursing website where everything there regarding requirements for foreign trained nurse
