Endorsement Application to Vermont

I'm from the Philippiens. I passed the California-NCLEX. Since I'm having problems acquaring a valid SSN, I'm planning to endorse my California-NCLEX to State of Vermont just so that I could get a permanent license in US. Supposed I already got RN license in Vermont and already working there as a nurse, is it still possible for me to reaaply my NCLEX in California (without having to retake the test) eventhough it has long been expired? My relatives are in California and I want to be as closed to them as possible. I will apprecaite any form of response.:)

Thank you for the reply!!

thats ok for me because for now i still cannot work for im still here in the philippines and dont have employer to get me out of here :(, the only reason why im gonna transfer it to vrmont is just to prevent it from expiring,, i dont wanna take another NCLEX exam it's traumatic and it's sooo expensive..

wow really, are they gonna send me the real license card if i met the requirements!! thats a lot for me!! i have more questions:::

1.is it a good idea if i transfer it to vermont now?,, since it will expire november 2011.. or should i wait few months more before i start transferreing it? ohh the question is how long is the processing before it's being done?

2. why do some employers dont require my fellow nurses here in PI to to take the IELTS exam though they're not US citizen? i heard 2 of my friends are not gonna take IELTS coz their employer insist not to.. im hesitating to take the exam now..

3. i do know, that before they process the Visa screen certificate the two important requirements are NCLEX result and the IELTS score.. how do they process the VSC if they lack the IELTS score?

It's pointless to do either IELTs or Visa Screen when there are no visas on the horizon.. you'll just waste your money and the results will expire.

Thank you for the reply!!

hi. i just want to ask about this employer of your friends? what agency are they working with? i am looking for one, i am just waiting for my license from Vermont. If you read about VSC in the cgfns website, VSA is required of all foreign-educated nurses and to get a VSC, you have to have NCLEX, IELTS 6.5 band score and 7.0 in Speaking band, aklso PRC and Highschool verification. But it's good for them if the employer waived the IELTS and VSC. That is why I want to know about this agency/ employer, because I am about to apply for IELTS.

employer may waiver VSC but VSC is a federal requirement and is required

Requirements for VSC is pass in either CGFNS exam or NCLEX, ensures your training matches US training plus English exam if required

I actually heard that Vermont was in the works of changing their requirements for foreign applicants and one was requiring a ssn. It may or may not happen but if you have NCLEX results waiting I would transfer them as soon as possible as the state can change the rules at any time with out any warning. Good Luck to all.

hello... louieb, would you know if the nclex pass letter with photo that will be requested from the Cali BON be addressed directly to the BON of Vermont? i have read the International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement Application of Vermont and it says that the applicant must submit a copy of the said nclex pass letter from the Cali BON together with the other requirements...

so i am assuming i would request for the nclex pass letter with photo from the Cali BON and submit it together with my other requirements, right?

thanks!

hi can-rn-immigrant !!

nope,, you will need to contact the california bon for them to send the certified true copy with photo to vermont,, you're not the one who will be sending that,, it's the california bon. goodluck to us!!! im planning to transfer it now to vermont and then looking/applying for a job in canada!!! because i still dont have employer to get me out of here..

1. please help!! how can i pay to the 10 dollar fee to the california BON for the request of sending my certified true copy of test results with photo to the vermont??

2. i didnt know what pages to printed when i downloaded the file, im not sure if i printed the right pages,, it says the page 5, 6 and 7... can anyone give me the link the papers to be printed?? thanks

here is the instruction:

vt will need to have the verification of education form completed by your school and your official transcripts sent to them. you can print the verification of education form from their website www.vtprofessionals.org on pages 5 and 6 of the international nurse application.

vt requires the license verification form completed for your original nursing license and your most current nursing license. you can print this form from their website www.vtprofessionals.org on page 7 of the international nurse application.

Just had a quick look on their site and would say just follow what is instructed on this http://www.vtprofessionals.org/opr1/nurses/international_forms/NU_International_NCLEX_PASS_Endorsement_CES.pdf

louieb, click on the link below or copy/paste it on your browser...

Nursing | International Nurses - Vermont Secretary of State - Office of Professional Regulation

on this page, choose:

International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement Application

this is the application you need to download, fill out completely and submit... the candidate report IS SUBMITTED TOGETHER WITH YOUR APPLICATION... so you must request this from CA BRN (assuming that's where you applied to sit for your nclex)... you must do this in writing and you should put a $10 demand draft together with your request... when you receive your candidate report with photo from CA BRN, you send this TOGETHER WITH your application to VT and all their requirements...

have you got a visascreen cert?... if you do not, then applying for a CES report (also a requirement of VT) at CGFNS might take a month or two... you are no longer required by VT to submit your credentials since your CES report will contain this... all you really need to do is fill out the application form for International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement Application, apply for CES report and request for your candidate report with photo from CA BRN...

the process of endorsement has been discussed in detail in other topics... try the one i started with "visascreen vs. credentials evaluation system" and the "help on what to do with nclex with no SSN" or something to that effect...

goodluck!

thank you for the effort of helping me!!

but i got confuse,, i though t it was the ca bon who will be sending the credentials to vermont?? it was stated here:

vt requires the official nclex exam results. for example if you took the exam through ca; you will need to contact the california board of nursing and request a “certified copy of test results with photo” to be sent to the state of vermont board of nursing. california’s fee for this is $10.00. (if you’ve already completed this step please proceed to step 2)

is certified true copy of test results and the credentials are the same??

all i know is just i had to call to the ca bon to request to send the certified true copy of test results,, and then they will send it directly to vermont..
