It took me from Nov 2010- Sept 2011 to go through the entire process, from applying to getting full registration. I started working yesterday and am loving it :)

hello again! i'd like to ask if cno recognizes volunteer as a work experience? could i actually put it under the section 2 of my application form where it is asking whether i have been employed? thanks for all your answers! :-)

no. volunteer work is not considered work experience. that only comes from paid employment, where you have a regulated professional designation, a contractual obligation to an employer, accountability for your own practice and legislation covering your scope of practice.

i am a RN in the philippines ,i passed the last DECEMBER, im planning to upgrade as RN here at ONTARIO, and now i just requested a assessment form from CNO. I need help and informations regarding application and examination.kindly please help me. how is this? am i required to study again? how many years to wait to my exam?can i take the exam right away?thanks :)

I think you need to accomplish those forms first. After submission to the CNO, they will notify upon receipt of the documents. It is the CNO who will either allow you to take the CRNE or give you other options for you to be eligible to take the exam and then upon passing the exam, you can then complete your registration. (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. Learned this from fellow applicants as well.)

Correct, the college will assess application and decide whether eligible to sit CRNE and only if you pass and meet other requirements, some provinces require you to be a resident of the province before issuing a license, and a license will be issued.

Hi guys. I just want to ask how long will it take to receive the decision letter?! I'm done with the requirements including the bet, though its not required this year =)

i applied for RN registration last December and on February i was given the rest of the forms with the BET. I still haven't finished the BET. is it true that they don't require BET before finishing the assessment anymore? if so, do I still need to finish my BET or will CNO push through with the assessment w/o it after i send the rest of the needed documents?

is there any deadline of completing the documents (including BET) from the time you submitted your option form (whether to continue with the assessment or not)? coz i applied and paid for RN registration last December 2010, received the BET forms on February 2011 and up to now i'm not done with it. I'm working full time now in Ontario. I just moved here a month now and am still trying to fully adjust to everything. I really hope I get to finish the BET asap. I would just like to know if there is a deadline up to when i should finish this or else my application would be forfeited? is there such a thing?

They my be working in another profession full time. The college will not give even a temp license unless all requirements re met and you are just waiting to sit CRNE
