The all-important nursing school acceptance letter! Whether it comes by mail, email, or phone call, its always eagerly awaited. Tell us how you learned of your nursing school acceptance and how you celebrated.

Congrats!!!! I wanted to be a nurse right out of high school and I am telling you now...STICK WITH IT!! I landed a really good job out of high school and had enough money to have my own place, new car, etc. Have not been happy since! Money doesn't equate to happiness! Finally starting my program this fall....

"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." - Confucius

Good luck to you!! AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thank you so much :)) I am so nervous and so excited!!!

I got my letter in March. :)

I celebrated by going out with my future cohorts and treated ourselves with a nice lunch (a nice change from cheap college food)!

Congrats to all those who got accepted! :)

Wow! words cannot explain the joy I experienced in Jan. 2014 when I got the call from my Advisor. All the best fellow N/Students. Starting the program in the fall 2014.

I have not celebrated yet because I have to do a Declaratory Order. So I may not be approved before the program starts. I am hopeful and can only pray. The day I get my all clear from the BON is when I will celebrate!

What is a "Declaratory Order?"

Got "accepted" (long story) then when life's roller coaster cruised to a steady pace, I got to meet my cohorts at orientation!!

The excitement quickly faded when I came home to textbooks on my door step!

I did celebrate that weekend with ladies night at the ball park!

Congratulations!

And thanks for the inspiration.

I checked the mail 2 times a day. Got my letter and went to have coffee with my son.

I received my letter in March of this year. I was working when my friend called me to tell me she had received her acceptance letter, I knew I had a higher GPA than her by a significant amount and had more volunteer experience so I thought I HAD to have had gotten in (school was based on a point system with grades) and yup right when I got home, my letter stated I was accepted :)

I didn't do much though, so tired from work I went right to bed. :)

Almost breaking my leg! Too excited, I jumped down a few steps and landed pretty bad, but no broken bones. So really, two things to celebrate about haha! :)

I came home from a long busy 9 hour shift at work at 9 pm and found the acceptance letter. I cried happy tears and hugged my mom and had dinner with the family. It wouldn't have been possible to get this far without their support!
