Yuba College Nursing - Fall 2025

Published

Hi everyone! I am planning on applying to the nursing program for Fall 2025. This will be my second time applying. I created this so we can ask questions and help each other! Is anyone else applying for Fall 2025?

I have not yet. Is this from bookstore?

Has anyone bought their books yet?

I've only purchased this one so far: Medical-Surgical Nursing 10th Edition. Ignatavicius, Workman, Rebar, Heimgartner

The handbook says a pathophysiology textbook too but doesn't say which one.

I haven't. Where did you get the textbook info? I thought everything was on ATI. I didn't know there were more books to get.

I looked the book up in the bookstore based off what the handbook said, but maybe we don't need it? Who knows LOL

I'll email NAHP and let you all know what I hear.

Thank you. I would appreciate it. I just don't remember hearing anything about that at orientation, but maybe I'm just spacing it out.

We just need ATI no textbooks LOL ugh I hope the bookstore takes returns 😆

Has anyone registered for classes yet? I haven't seen anything on how to register for them yet.

Hi Jess! I did already while ago. I went to Yuba college self service added them along with registration. Hope that helps.

Where did you find the course codes to add the classes?

From our instructors emails NHAP and than I went to course search found them and added them and registered. You can always call and ask nursing department or Yuba college or email them just to make sure.

Hi,

I would like some insight for those accepted to let me know how Complio is going since it sounds quite stressful. For context, I have medi-cal. But if appointments are hard to make or PCP refuses vax/tests, are there other alternatives to get the requirements met?

{{Thanks for this thread it has been quite helpful! }}

You might want to look into public health for the vaccines and tests. I live in Butte county and believe if you have medi-cal that the vaccines and also the PPD are covered. I originally had my PCP order my titers, had them done at Quest and found out I needed to get a varicella vaccine. I was able to schedule this at Walgreens and it was free. My PCP then recommended public health for the TB tests. When the semester starts I will not be completely compliant as I have to wait until the 13th of August to get the my second PPD because I got the varicella vaccine (I didn't know this was going to be a problem at the time). I explained this to NAHP and they were very understanding. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

I went to Walgreens I have medical myself. Perhaps try there or other places a lot accept medical . Hope that helps.
