Yuba College Fall ADN 2019 Hopefuls

Published

Looking to connect with other students that are applying to Yuba College ADN program for Fall 2019. Has anybody applied? Is anyone applying to multiple schools? I'm finally finished with my prereqs so this is my first time applying. I'm terrified.

Lauryn, congratulations on getting into Solano! I think you will definitely be selected for Yuba with 80 points. ? Do you have a preference between the two schools? Did you apply anywhere else?

thank you. I applied to a bunch of ADN programs in the area and then solano bsn program.. This is my first time applying( just finished my prerequisites in december). I am excited to get everything started and start my career.

After many years of slowly getting my prereqs done I just finished in December as well. This is my first time applying and I'm really hoping I get in somewhere. I didn't even know that Solano had a BSN program. That's awesome. Do you know how many times per year they accept apps?

Hello! I applied as well. Got A’s in everything but pathophysio & chem ( B’s) and ATI Teas score of 79.3 ? Applied to 4 other schools. Hoping to get in anywhere! I live in the Napa, Ca area and would relocate to whatever nursing school I get accepted and choose to go. Wish we would know ASAP but luckily Yuba is one of the colleges that notifies fairly early ( first Friday of April) compared to other nursing programs in which I won’t know till May - June! Still stalk my email daily lol

Hi! That’s awesome! Yuba should let us know either the week before or week after the first Friday since that’s spring break this year. Crossing my fingers (and toes) that it’s sooner! Did you apply to other schools in California, or did you add some out of state? Either way I hope you don't have to move too far!

Hey guys, does anyone know what was the minimum score that got into Yuba for the Fall 2019 class?

Hi! I believe it was around 64-65? It was higher this year, and some of the applications on the cusp came down to timestamp so definitely apply early when you’re ready!

Hey dmg87, i'm currently at 62.5 With an 85 on my TEAS I would need to get 90 or higher I signed up to retake it at American River. Are you starting this fall? I agree the nursing building is beautiful. What did you use to study for TEAS? Thanks

Good evening! Hopefully that goes well for you! Yes I am! Only a few weeks to go ? To study, I used the TEAS for dummies book. It was fairly thorough but definitely not comprehensive. It had also been about 8 years between me taking A&P and the TEAS so I’m sure that didn’t help. Worked out in the end though so I won’t complain!

Do you guys think a 62 gets me into the program? Also how many people from waitlist got accepted from your class?

Hmmm... With a 69.5 I was in the middle. I think our cutoff was above 62, but we took 3-4 from the waitlist. I don’t want to give you false hope... I think it’s going to be very close! Every application round is different though, so I’m not sure if my input is even helpful ?

Just applied! Hopefully a 62 gets me high on the wait list. Goodluck to all you guys starting this month!
