Yuba College Fall ADN 2019 Hopefuls

Looking to connect with other students that are applying to Yuba College ADN program for Fall 2019. Has anybody applied? Is anyone applying to multiple schools? I'm finally finished with my prereqs so this is my first time applying. I'm terrified.

Yes, ADN ☺️ I’m curious what the points spread will be. My counselor said the minimum has been increasing since they switched to online applications. Are you in this area/applying to others around here? Good luck to you, too!

Yes ADN and I'm in Woodland. The counselor I met with told me the same thing about the points. ? I'm applying to Sac City and ARC but Yuba is my first choice. I'm hoping I've got the points because I don't want to depend on a lottery system. Although I know that the Sac City program is great. I'll go wherever I can get it in.

I agree with you on the lottery system!! I think Yuba’s Nursing dept building/facility is beautiful, so they’re my top choice too! It’s also really nice that they do clinicals in Woodland. I have 69.5 pts with an 86 on the TEAS, so if I don’t get in I’ll probably have to retake and shoot for a 90+. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that!! ??

I applied February 1st and this is absolute torture waiting until April. I think I had 67 or 68 points. I got an 88.7 on the TEAS. I was considering taking the TEAS as well to try to get a 90+ for the extra points. I thought that I read that they only accept one score per year? Do you recall that? We'll have to let each know if we get any responses or info from the program. ? With your points I'm pretty sure you're going to get in!

It really is!! That’s awesome! Technically it’s one per year, but you can retake and petition to accept the new score. Either way I think we’re in a good place! Yes I will absolutely keep in touch! Hopefully we’re both in and we find out sooner rather than later ?

Just two classes to finish things up but they’re online so that’s nice. Nope, all of my eggs are in the Yuba College basket lol ?

I applied as well. My total point score: 80.

I applied to solano CC. I got into that program!

I'm just waiting to hear back from yuba to see if I even have a decision to make.

Hi Lauryn!

I’m sure you’ll get in with an 80! The pts cutoff is usually mid-60s with TEAS of at least 80.

Congrats on acceptance to Solano, too!
