Yuba College ADN 2021 Hopefuls

Published

Hello everyone! I just finished my prerequisites and will be applying for Yuba College's ADN program next month. I didn't see a thread for 2021, so I thought I'd start one. Hopefully, anyone else who is applying for the program can gather here to find support and encouragement.

hi everyone! does anyone if we go back to look at our submitted application to make sure everything is right (for the 100th time LOL) will it update and change my submission date? I don't want to look at it, even if I don't change anything, and have it update to today and say I submitted it today when really I submitted on the 25th. I don't want to lose my time stamp day I submitted

Hey did you end up changing anything? I was kind of wondering the same thing, I wanted to double-check that I submitted everything correctly but I ended up just leaving it alone. We should be hearing something in about 20 days! Does anyone know if we will get an email even if we weren't selected?

hi! no I didn't change anything but I did log in and look at my application. I emailed the nursing department about it because it was driving me crazy. they said it wouldn't do anything, your timestamp is your time stamp. thank goodness. yes we should here by Friday oct. 9th! im sure they let you know either way...I would think but I am not sure. good luck everyone! we got this!

Hi! did any of you apply for lvn to RN bridge program? or just the straight ADN ?

Hi everyone!

I am hoping to apply for Fall 2021. I am currently taking Pharmacology at CRC, the course is AH 124 Pharmacology for HCP. It is a two unit class. I read under FAQs that generally two unit classes unfortunately don't transfer, but three unit pathophysiology classes should be evaluated. Has anyone taken the same pharmacology course and was able to use it as a prerequisite for Yuba College? I am upset that I might have to retake the same class again. ?

I'm sorry, I don't know much about which classes can transfer...I've taken all of my prereqs at Yuba. I would definitely call Yuba and ask though, that would suck to have to retake Pharm.

Hi FutureNurse88!  Yes I applied for Spring 2021. I called Allied health dept. on Friday and they told me they received 208 applications for ADN and 56 for LVN to RN. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh my goodness!! I wonder how many applicants there were the last few years... did they tell you what the point cutoff is this year? I'm dying to find that out but I don't really want to bug them LOL

She said its not going to go below 65. but she did not give me exact number. It's very competitive.  I am so discouraged to hear the numbers of applicants.

Wow! That is slightly unnerving. ? How many points did you apply with? I believe they usually pull multiple applicants from the waitlist each year as well.

HI Nurseandpilot! I read your question about the pharm 2 unit course. I took the same course AH124 and I asked a counselor at yuba about it and he said it does not qualify. He said it had to be a 3 unit pharm course, so I retook it pharm at yuba over this past Summer. It's funny because it qualifies for the other program I applied to at Samuel Merritt but not for a community college. Either way both pharms were pretty easy, but it is annoying having to re-do it
