Not that you want to benefit from anothers "bad luck" but last minute openings do become available r/t economic hardships, inabililty to pay tuition etc. Try other schools you might have to travel farther but perhaps you"ll find something. I would also check my state board of nursing for the passing rate of any programs you're not familiar with. I work with a LPN grad who attended one of these private Tech schools and She is having difficulty passing the Nclex, turns out her school is on a "watch list" for low passing rates.

Having a crisis, did my nursing pre recs a few years ago but still have not made it into a RN program. I applied to 2 Adn within proximity to my home and still have not been accepted even though my GPA has been consistently above 3.50, on the Honor roll and Deans's list. I currently posess an Associate in Social work but although it was my second choice next to nursing it is proving an economical disappointment. Does anyone have any insight/advice?
