Your opinion about changing jobs

I changed the job two months ago. I worked two years on surgical floor and 10months in PACU. I loved my PACU job but I found interesting offer as research nurse in other specialty and I went for it. I signed a one year contract. Unfortunately, I realised that I dont like this new job. I feel like I dont fit in and I miss hospital and although trying i cant find new specialty so appealing as I thought. I am unhappy now and regret that I left very good job looking just for greener grass.. I am thinking about quiting and returning to PACU but now there is dilemma. I would be definately seen as unreliable person who changes jobs too often. Potential employers may not be happy to employ me now. I should probably wait until my contract finish but I am too unhappy in new job to wait another 10months. What would you do?

I would mitigate the job hopper scenario by completing my contract.

I think I would look at the big picture and realize 10 months to fulfill a contract isn't so long and allows me to meet a responsibility. However, I quit a per diem job after four weeks because I couldn't stand it. Only you know if you can really wait it out.
