I had a 3.3 when I was accepted. The way they decided who got in was based on a point system. You got so many points for having co-reqs done, how many credits you had, a couple for living in-county, and points equal to GPA (so I got 3.3 points for that.) All told, I think I had 29 points out of 32.
Oh yeah, and I got a 99 on the NLN entrance exam. That counted for 10 points.
I will begin applying to nursing schools next quarter and I was wondering...of those of you who were accepted into nursing school what was your cumulative gpa in the prereqs? For those who weren't offered admission what was your cumulative?I have no dillusions (sp) about the difficulty of getting into nursing school and was just curious about others gpa's since it is the primary factor for acceptance. Thanks for sharing!!!
4.0 in pre and co-reqs when accepted (only have child psych left to take)
No health care/volunteer work at all
Scored in the top 3% of the nation for the TEAS test
There's 142 of us this year, I know some people that got in on 3.0s w/ a lot of previous health care work.
