Well, I think some of you are going to be thinking "has she lost her mind"!!!!
I think I have:lol2:. I am going back to the psych hospital to work. I know I have posted on this forum about my concerns with some of issues at this particular place, but I miss my co-workers and the 12 hour shifts.
The other job that I have been orientating too is terrible. I did not like it at all. The 8 hour shifts suck, especially at night. The job was out of town and I have spent 80.00 in gas the last 2 weeks. I hated the drive, the co-workers were not very friendly. I am sure they just needed time to get to know me but I guess I dont have the patience for this kind of attitude.
So I called the DON where I used to work and asked if I could come back. She said yes:yeah:, boy was I excited. I am so looking forward to working with my co-workers once again. They are a great group of people and we always work as a team.
I actually missed psych it felt like home!!!

Glad you have found your niche.....I didn't find mine for 20 years...After med-surg, home health, telemetry, nursing home, I found psyche and have stayed with it now for 2 years...I absolutely love it!! It was on a whim that I decided to try it and am so glad that I did.....It fits so well that they have just made me Supervisor....

Sorry I am not familiar with your situation, but I'm glad that you had the experience with the other job and realized you wanted psych back:) Congrats, and I am sure that your co-workers are glad to have you back.
