I used Kaplan. On the Q-bank I averaged, after all 1000 questions, 65%. On the Question trainers I was going from 61-72%. I also took the Kaplan class and my instructor told me that you want to be at or above 65% (according to them). I was not always at that mark and I know of others who weren't as well and they passed. I guess that is Kaplan's goal for you though. Also, with Kaplan class they give you two readiness tests and on both I was in the passing range. Hope this helps!
I used Kaplan also. I did about 930 of the Qbank questions and my average was 65%. My scores on the 7 Qtrainers ranged from 60-66%. I got a 67% on my diagnostic test and a 72% on my readiness test. I passed NCLEX the first time in 75 questions.
I used the Kaplan complete online course, and they said that for the Qtrainers they want you to get 65% or above, and on the Qbank 60% or above. Kaplan helped me immensely!! Their questions are very similar to NCLEX. Good luck!!!
I used Kaplans as well, and on test 6 i got a 74 and then on test 7 i got a 67 and in the qbank i am at 70 % this is all after i have failed the Nclex the first time , I am retaking it tomorrow with better confidence and whole great deal of knowledge . I also did every question in the Qbank ...All of them 1304

hello! best of luck for tomorrow. by the way, i have a question, i hope you don't mind, are the some of the questions in Q4 the same as in Q5? thanks! hope u could enlighten me on this.
Hi, LoveNursing1.
I scored VERY low on the Kaplan QBank ?s before I started getting repeats and getting them right - my lowest score was 20%, to give you an idea, which meant I was a bad guesser to top it all off.
I took NCLEX yesterday and just found out this morning that I passed.
I just kept studing. And then studied some more.
I wish you all the best - sending good mojo your way!
Hi-I am preparing for the nclex using kaplan and saunders. Anyone that used either kaplan or saunders and passed NCLEX with it- Can you please post-
1) what were your average Kaplan scores before passing NCLEX
2) and/or what were your average saunders scores before passing NCLEX.
Thanks a ton!!

Sure - I used Kaplan 2007 Edition "Strategies for the Registered Nursing Licensing Exam" . I read it once, then 1/2 way through again. I did the practice test at the end of the book twice ( 3 months inbetween).
I have the Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination - third edition. I only went through about twenty questions and decided to focus on Kaplan. I thought the Kaplan book was very helpful and in keeping with the questions on the NCLEX.
Hope this helps!
Can I ask what sources you used for your NCLEX studies??I'm using Kaplan and Saunders. I'm just finding hard to find my groove...I took Excelsior's online bridge program...do I need more study sources, ie content books? Thanks!:monkeydance:
