I was just wondering if there were a good amount of younger people in the cna field. I'm 19 and am taking cna classes during the summer. Lol I don't have any problem with older people but just want to know what the age demographic is for this field.
Thank you.

Probably 75% of my CNA coworkers are under the age of 25 (this is in long-term care).

I agree with CoffeemateCNA. Most of my co-workers are in their early 20s. There are a few that have been doing this job 10, 15, 20+ years, but they're in the minority. I do have one co-worker who is still in high school and works part-time at my hospital on the weekends. :)

I was 19 when I was in CNA class. I dont really run into too many CNA's around my age Most of the people at my jobs are older, mainly in my parents age bracket lol.
The ppl that around my age dont usually stick around very long. I guess they think being a CNA is just too hard, or gross. Idk.

Most of my co-workers are middle aged. I only see about 10% of cna's under the age of 30 at my facility.

I first became a CNA at the age of 16 (many, many moons ago). At that time all my fellow CNA co-workers were middle-aged women.
Now, flash forward 25 years, all the CNA's in my facility have an average age of early 20's, with a few "older" ones sprinkled in for flavor :)
