What region are you referring too? i live in the Los Angeles County area, and there is a good amount of people looking for CNA jobs so people like me have a harder time getting any chances because we are students. PRN? Per diem if im right? I read somewhere on here that new CNA's shouldn't do per diem shifts because you need to get the hang of things and procedures before you are comfortable enough to go per diem Thank you for your response :)

I was just wondering how lenient employers are on hiring students? I myself am a college student (pre-nursing) and just recently got my CNA certification. I have applied for a couple positions at nursing homes and one of them told me that they cannot work around my school schedule ( i can only work thurs-sat), but they said if i had a more open/flexible schedule they would hire me because im young and a male -_-. I just want to know if the majority of places are like this or not. Kinda getting bummed out :/

I was just wondering if there were a good amount of younger people in the cna field. I'm 19 and am taking cna classes during the summer. Lol I don't have any problem with older people but just want to know what the age demographic is for this field. Thank you.
