I heard something interesting on the news. Yogert neutralizes MRSA. Nurses & doc's are washing their hands with it. Anyone heard of that? One solution to an age old problem.

I've heard this for treating yeast infections. You can get empty capsules, and place PLAIN yogury into the capsules and place into the lady parts. I've heard this many times and has worked for many people. But of course, the key here is using PLAIN yogurt. The frou frou ones (which I do happen to like) usually have sugar in them, and of course, for a lady partsl infection putting sugar into the lady parts is like adding fuel to the mix.
Forgot to add, haven't heard of it as far as washing your hands with it for a MRSA infection. That's a new one to me. I've worked on SNF floors before and dealt with a lot of MRSA, VRE, etc. Never heard of washing your hands with yogurt though.

Cant say the handwashing bears out - I couldn't find a thing in the lit for it.
Really - rather than yogurt - using the acidophilus capsules is just easier all the way around - less mess, same effect.
