Hello allnurses community!
This thread is for those applying to Yale's GEPN (Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing) Program for the Fall 2024 start.
It might be a little early as deadlines haven't been announced yet, but given all of the questions that many of us might already have, one can never be too early!
Good luck to everyone!
@DonKlonopin Again, that is what was told to me. I was worried about my stuff not being verified in time but again, I was told they could see my application. They also told me students technically have a few days after the first ( I don't know the exact days), but reach out to the program and let them know your situation. I would send a email to my reference again and let them know that their letter needs to be submitted. I was also told that if most of the letters were in then we should be okay, but that third letter needs to be submitted ASAP. I hope this helps.

My recommender got my rec letter in by THIS MORNING, but having reached out to Yale last night, I got an email by lunch stating it's "too late to be considered the Priority deadline... and that I should have all my items in by January 1st 2024 to be considered for the rolling cycle..." ? and it looks like my applicant pool says "Deadline Rolling" (does it say Priority for others?). I gave all my reference writers 2.5 weeks to get in my letters, I guess I learned my lesson.
@DonKlonopin I am sorry to hear that. When I spoke to the program, I called and talked to them a few weeks before the deadline. It is very annoying when references do not submit applications. I also had an issue with one of my references but I sent them so many emails and texted them so they could submit before the 1st. Try not to worry to much. I still think you have a fair chance.
@DonKlonopin Also mine just says "verified".

Hey Don, so sorry this happened to you. My application was in by the deadline and it says "Deadline Rolling" as well, I think it says this for everyone regardless of if you made the priority deadline. That being said it seems like you have your answer from Yale. Very unprofessional of your reference to not have it submitted in time ? I had to hound one of my references to get them to submit and they didn't get it in until the day of. Wish you the best tho, hopefully being at the top of the stack of rolling applications will still give you a good shot.

Hey, I submitted by the deadline as well however mine does not say deadline rolling it just says verified. I did receive the application for scholarships though which means they have looked at my GPA on my app
@willyoo and @nurse061401 Yeah, I am worried that we only have 6 days to complete it. I am still working on applications for other schools. I could've sworn they said that we would get an email about the scholarship by December 1st and have a couple of weeks to complete it. I feel so rushed...?
@nurse061401 I got scared and called the program when I saw my application said "verified" it is good to hear that someone sees the same thing.

Right I'm kind of shocked they are giving us less than a week. Only 8 people get the scholarship tho so I'm just going to give it a fair effort and move on. Where else are you applying?

I hope you're right, mine still isn't verified, and one of my references has STILL not submitted their letter + likert scale yet. I'm trying to strike the tactful distance between diplomatic and assertive with them right now.
