Hello allnurses community!
This thread is for those applying to Yale's GEPN (Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing) Program for the Fall 2024 start.
It might be a little early as deadlines haven't been announced yet, but given all of the questions that many of us might already have, one can never be too early!
Good luck to everyone!
I submitted my application on the nursingCAS on the November 1st priority deadline but unfortunately it was not verified until the next morning on November 2nd. Now I'm unsure if I made the priority deadline because it was submitted in time, or if I only made the rolling deadline because my application wasn't verified until the next day. If anyone knows how it works I would love to hear it.
I did the same thing as you! But when I emailed admissions a few weeks ago this is the response I got:
"If you are ready, I encourage you to submit. The reason being that the verification process can take some time and sometimes applicants will forget to send a transcript and it helps to have that extra time. Technically speaking, you don't have to submit until November 1st - some nursing schools require you to be "Verified" by the application date, but we don't. But early applications are always welcome.”
@willyoo You should be fine. I was worried about my application not being seen on time due to verification but I called and spoke to the director and she said not to worry. She told me that we technically have a little more time but she can technically see our application, but not to worry if it needs to be verified. She stated that she realized most students don't realize that applications needs to go through verification but we should still be fine. It took my application like 4 days to be verified when I submitted a few weeks ago.
