Considering an assignment at this hospital within the next 3 to 6 months. Looking for the good, bad and ugly from travelers and staff alike. This includes the main campus and St. Rafael. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Bump! There's gotta be someone out there.

Just started an assignment here- like it a lot so far. Slightly disorganized as far as scheduling but a super nice hospital and great environment.

Thanks for the update! I'm starting there in May, looking forward to a change from my present assignment (and a summer in CT).

I have a friend who works at Yale-New Haven . Most floors are understaffed so that leaves extra stress & more patients for each nurse & She always gets called for OT. Besides that the staff & doctors are easy to get along with . Good luck you'll do great !

I think I've mentioned this to you but not sure.

I have quite a lot of friends who work at the main campus (Yale) as well as St. Rays (what we call St Raphaels around here).

They all love their positons. some are floor some are management. I do know that those who work at St. Rays don't like some of the changes that occured when Yale took over but they are still happy with their jobs at the hosptial. Many of them have had long careers at both Yale and St Rays.

I work for another of Yale's campuses and I like my position.

YNHH encompasses Yale New Haven Hospital (in New Haven), St Raphael's (in New Haven), Bridgeport Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital.

Do you know of the pay for new grad RN's? Thanks!
