  1. I have a friend who works at Yale-New Haven . Most floors are understaffed so that leaves extra stress & more patients for each nurse & She always gets called for OT. Besides that the staff & doctors are easy to get along with . Good luck you'll do great !
  2. I received the email on a Friday a little before noon . Good Luck !!
  3. Based on programs with not so expensive tuition I would say apply to Southern CT State University . The program is under 20k & is well respected . There are hospitals around this school that love bilingual nurses because not all of the older Spanish patients can fully communicate in English . The only prereqs you are missing is a 100 level math & psych 100 (which are pretty easy) Also there are schools in Puerto Rico that have programs for much cheaper as well (under 20k). They have the program in both Spanish & English . University of Turabo is one of them but I can't remember the other programs . Good Luck !
  4. Yea are you willing to relocate ? I've read on a few posts about ppl with lower GPAs applying to those accelerated/Second degree nursing programs in PR (the have about 2-3 programs that offer The program in English) Some only require a 2.5 & they are significantly cheaper . Good luck & don't give up !
  5. I have also heard about this happening because of the extreme weather conditions especially with major roads & highways being shut down . In areas where I live, if you get into an accident to or from work your employer has part fault for it so it may just be them covering themselves. Never heard of not being paid though, doesn't sound realistic to me
  6. Thanks ! & Yes I was notified by email & was told I would receive the letter and packet soon
  7. Are you applying to an undergrad program or accelerated ?
  8. I also got accepted . Has anybody else heard back ?
  9. I also applied to Fairfield University's Accelerated Program . Have you heard back from them yet ?
  10. I used to look at videos on YouTube & other educational sites I googled . Sometimes it's easier to understand when you can physically see the whole process & then piece together your notes from there . Good luck !
  11. I wouldn't count on WVU . I transferred there for the nursing program & you pretty much have to have a 3.7 & above . The site says 3.0 but that's a complete lie , they won't even let you declare as pre-nursing with that which I sadly learned AFTER I enrolled because of being mislead
  12. I have also applied to the accelerated program & had my interview 2 weeks ago . I know they said orientation is in April so I'm hoping I get a letter by the end of Feb . & congrats on getting in !!
