  1. You know that they are now accredited by the ACEN
  2. I saw him last time I was there walking pass. The admission rep. pointed him out. But I've wouldn't guess he was that cool lol. But that's deff a good thing to know. Plus being that it's a small school, it would make sense for him also to have a good relationship with the students. The grammar part does look pretty easy for the practice exams lol. & good thing I get my scores back the same day. Now I can't wait to take it lol. Thanks again though, you really did make me feel relieved because I was over thinking, which caused me to be worried.
  3. You just made me feel 100% better lol. I'm happy he's a pretty cool president. & thanks for the heads up because I never knew he was a doctor, but I will defiantly talk to him with respect. So you basically mean dressing professionals. & how long was the interview? The math isn't bad. I need to focus on the vocabulary. Some of these words, have me scratching my head. I think I would do that first. & do we fiind out our scores from the hesi the same day we take them ?
  4. I'm scheduled to take the exam in two weeks on the 23. I'm studying the book now. Plan to study for at least an hour and a half daily because I want a high score. I'm think I'm more nervous because I know that I will have to meet w. The president after I passed the hesi. I read in forums that he wants the ppl he think is best fit for the program. Besides volunteer work, did you work I'm a healthcare facility as a Lpn or cna?
  5. Congrats. I'm a little nervous b/c I really hope I get in for August 2015. What semester are you attending, May or August?
  6. I was told the same. Are you applying for the May or August semester?
  7. Hey jholder948 That sounds pretty cool. I'm scheduled to take the hesi on the 23. Did you get accepted yet?
  8. Hey did you end up getting accepted?
  9. Hi, what were the prerequisites for the Lpn program? Did you have to take a pre entrance exam ? Thanks
  10. Hey did you enrolled into the school yet?
  11. Hi dgaym For the nln is anatomy and physiology needed. I'm currently taking this course at a cuny, but I'm interested in swedish institute. Im thinking of calling but Idk if I should wait until I'm finished with this course. From your experience on taking the nln, what was on it? Is anatomy involved? & is it an hard exam? Thank you

Hey I can't private message you back. But I read your journey on how you went to many schools. And I think it's great how you are so motivated and optimistic to pursue your career dreams as being an Rn. Gives me hope also b/c I know in the pass I haven't had the best grades in certain classes that I wanted. But I'm tryna also and I wanted to asked if you got into the nursing program? I'm thinking of transferring there. Thanks
  13. Hi SingDanceRunLife, I'm currently looking for lpn's schools. I wanted to try MEC LPN program, but they hardly put up information on their website. Can you tell tell me what are the prerequisites? Is the a pre entrance exam? Is there a waiting list? and the cut of gpa from when you applied? I know I'm late, but your reply would really help. Thank you. Celeste
  14. By your pre-req description I am assuming you took them at QCC and will be applying to QCC as well. Have you taken your NLN-PAX yet? I have heard of students with sub 3.5 GPAs getting into the program because of an exceptional NLN-PAX score. I would definitely give it a go and apply but your chances lie on the caliber of students also applying for that semester. Just to give you an idea QCC has over 700 applicants for the Fall semester to fill about only 70-80 seats. QCC prioritizes their candidates based on GPA and NLN-PAX performance. So you need to make that self assesment and do you that you are a more desirable candidate than 90% of the other students that are applying. I will also be applying for QCC clinicals for Fall 2015. If you have any questions ask me cause we are technically in the same pool of applicants. Yes im talking about qcc. Im still thinking if I should give it a try or if I should just apply to other schools for their clinical that ask for different prerequisite. Even if I have a high NLN-PAC score with that gpa, May not be good enough. But I wouldn't know until I'll try. I'm not ganna be pessimistic, I'm just ganna try other schools. & thanks for the enlightenment.
