Yale GEPN 2021

Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.

OK maybe I was reading wrong, my need based aid line was the line with some money, not merit. my bad!!

Same here, no mention of any merit aid....(I checked all 4 pages, it's no mentioned at all)

I have two lines on the first page:

first line, need based aid =0

and then on the line below, a Federal direct Loan unsubsidized section, with some money.

That's what mine looked like. It's weird that they'd put a 0 line, and not at least put a line for merit, even if it was 0 too.

Thanks for clarifying!

So then, it sounds like none of us have merit aid on this form so far, which makes me more hopeful merit will come separately... please... ?

I shot off an email to fin aid asking for clarification, the auto reply said they will respond in 3-5 business days.

I’m nervous about affording this. That’s the only thing deterring me

Maybe we'll get a clarifying email tomorrow.

I truly have no understanding of the process at all.

Right there with you.

As I said, I was not expecting some huge scholarship, but I was hoping for at least a little something to take the edge off.

Thank you Secondtimer for emailing!! Hopefully we'll all get some merit help!

I know things are going to be tight, so without help, that scares me a lot.

I literally might pass out. I know I was expecting this but with what I’ve read online with oversaturation driving salaries down, I hope I can pay it off asap

I do wish, if this is it, they had waited until tomorrow and given us today to be blissfully happy before financially reality set in

Yikes, the cost is too dang high and I didn't receive nearly enough in loans or scholarship to cover much... Are there any current students in the thread who can speak to affording the program?

You can get grad plus loan

I did receive merit aid - it came in a separate document and then was added in the financial aid letter in a row above the loans.
