Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.
I am buried in work and it's very helpful:))
Yale is the only CNM program I applied to, I am also applying to jobs and doctoral programs and have started getting encouraging answers--so I know I would be sad to hear I didn't make it, but not desperate either... I wasn't too happy with my essay, so maybe that's me bracing and protecting myself already???
Anyways, I wanted to wish everyone good luck!
My bet for a date is late Tuesday. I bet they're absolutely swamped.
Oh and this is how things happened 2 years ago: at 5.20p, they sent an automatic email to all applicants, letting us know we should log on to our profile.
Happy Holidays:)
Also it was a Tuesday also (2y ago) and I was applying for midwifery--so maybe there are different dates for different specialties?

This is what I am doing too! I wasn't checking my email compulsively a few days ago and my email went nuts from allnurses about a different program and I knew that was it! Unfortunately it was bad news for me, but that is okay. Hopefully Yale will be different. If not, I am okay with it. I found out about these programs way late and know what I want to do better for next year already! And I have wine waiting for me to open either way the decision goes! Cheers guys!

I love your positivity and coping, I hope Yale gathered that from you too. It's funny, checking my email compulsively this time last year has conditioned me to always do so since, haha. That's how I always stay on top of the conversations you all are having (and procrastinating classes). I hope you get wonderful news and don't let any decision deter you. I'm here to help if you need it in the future (I hope you don't!).
In my mind, it'll be tomorrow or Tuesday. For some reason I have a mental block about the news being released on a Monday. No idea why. ?♀️
I have two questions while we wait -
Does anyone know what the stats are on % interviewed and % of interviewees admitted? From past year's threads I recall a fairly low number get interviews, but then a solid 60-70% of interviewees are admitted. So basically good odds if you get the interview! But I think earlier in this thread someone said only 30% of interviewees are admitted?! So super curious which is correct.
Also, this is random, but I know on a past AN thread I stumbled onto a link for a blog by a black woman who went to Yale for the GEPN (midwifery track) and blogged about her experiences there. I can't find the thread with the link. Anyone happen to have it?
Also I just keep refreshing my portal, because I don't trust I'll get an email, and thankfully my portal password is autosaved. But I am also counting on this thread to blow up if it's released during the few times per day where I manage to distract myself and not check every 5 minutes ?

Not 100% sure if this is the blog you’re talking about but I found it on either this thread or another. Haven’t had time to read it yet to verify http://happyradishblog.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2012-09-07T00:16:00-04:00&max-results=10&reverse-paginate=true&start=110&by-date=false&m=1

I just checked it out, unfortunately while it is a midwife, I'm pretty sure this isn't it.

This is not it but thanks for checking! I wish I knew which former thread I saw the link on...
Well, the good news is *at most* 48 more hours of this ?

Don't rule out a weekend response. For the current cohort, interview decisions were on a Thursday morning and final decisions were on a Sunday morning.
Also, I never received an email about the portal update for the interview decision and received an email about the portal update for the final decision a week after the portal updated, haha.
My way of constant checking on my mobile device was turning on email notifications for allnurses. Once the chat went nuts, I knew there was an update and ran to my computer.
I'm excited for you all. I'm not going to say practice patience or stay calm, because I know that's impossible.
