Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.
@secondtimer14Yale’s the one I’m the most excited about too. I go back and forth between an ABSN, a year of L&D, and then an MS in Midwifery (which a lot of folks have recommended), and Yale’s MDE (my preference). That said, I were to get into Yale, I’d likely say yes still. It would be a dream for me too. Where are you located? I have two kids, but live in CT.

I'm in Chicago area. Both the programs I applied to locally are generalist programs, so I'd also plan to do a year of L&D. The fact that I can go straight through is my main justification for relocating. I have three kids, two school-aged and one younger. Are you close enough now to commute to Yale?
@secondtimer14 I love the Chicago area! Great city and area! And wow! I applaud your hard work with 3 kids. Mine are 4 and 6. Yes, I’d be able to commute to Yale as it’s a 35-40 min drive from me.
@secondtimer14 @birthworker I also have two young children, and Yale is about a 45 minute commute for me. It would be great to connect with other parents in the program if/when we are admitted!

I only applied 4 places, two are currently local to me (Yale is NOT), so a big part is just -- is it worth relocating? (I have a family so moving is very complicated for me). Some days I tell myself to be practical and stay put, at least to get an ABSN/generalist MSN, and I can apply again to Yale for the midwifery MSN. But I also think chain of thought is driven by my fear that I won't get in. It would be really, really hard to turn down an offer to go to Yale. Going there is my dream (to be cheesy about it).
I totally feel you on this. I'm in CA and sometimes I wonder about the move - it'd be a HUGE change.

I am not completely sure, but I would assume that is what they meant when referring to the portal. Hopefully, there will be an update by Friday-Sunday of this week. Good luck everyone!

Yes it’ll be there (I believe).
I’m guessing Jana and her team can’t go on break until these decisions are sent out, so I’m sure they’d love as much as us to be able to get it done sooner rather than later.
Good luck everyone!! Hoping for lots of good news coming our ways. ??????
