Hi All,
I have been on the lookout for the 2020 thread but figured that I'll have to create one. I am sorry if there is one that I am not aware of.
I am a 2020 hopeful that is looking to make a career switch. I was at one of the information sessions where I gained further insights on the application process and the program. I took the GRE yesterday and was around the 50th percentile for both Q&V.
One of the changes to this years' requirements is that you don't need the GRE if you already have a masters degree or would complete one before the start of the 2020 session. I haven't taken the major prerequisites, but I will take and complete them in the summer of 2020.
I will start talking to my recommenders from next week, I have a tentative list that I composed with a view of having them tell different stories about my candidacy.
May I crave the indulgence of both current and past GEPNs and the benevolence of prospective class of 2020 to make this thread the best one yet. Your views and insights are welcome and appreciated!

I completed my Fafsa application but never receive or even know to complete the school own separate application until I received an email this morning.
I don’t recall receiving any info previously about the YSN financial aid form in email correspondence. I did find the form a while back while researching YSN financial aid info on their website and submitted it with confirmation from their office...but the form they sent today has been updated from the previous version that I found.
Ah, good to know it wasn’t just me. I think since the email also mention that decision will go out by the 26th, I’m going to make a big assumption that admission acceptance will probably be finalize tomorrow (although it will not be release) just so financial office have enough time to put together everyone’s financial aid package (including scholarship) together by the 26th.
Also, whats up with the potential “2 days delay”? That’s even worse. Getting our hopes up only to say “just kidding.....you gotta wait 2 more days” lol

Yale’s FAFSA code is 001426. If you enter the code when adding schools Yale should just pop up. Didn’t have any trouble using the code.

@Alfazzani, no worries, there is a mechanism for making changes such as adding a school to your FAFSA.
-Go to FAFSA.gov.
-Enter your Login information/create a save key
-Select the option to “Make FAFSA Corrections”.
-Go to the section where you’ve listed colleges and add the Yale school code.
-Navigate through the application and hit submit.
Your resubmitted application will go through processing again, and in a few days you’ll get confirmation of the updates and successful processing.

I too wanted to believe that the financial aid email was an indication that I was accepted! BUT, I'm assuming everyone got it and that it doesn't mean anything. "decisions will be released on January 26, 2020 (we may experience a delay of up to 2 days....)" Ugh!! I was really hoping for sooner cause the wait is definitely agonizing! I'll have to buy a plane ticket as well, at least ticket prices don't seem too crazy right now. Here's to hoping for acceptance and stable ticket prices! Thanks for the camaraderie everyone!
