Yale GEPN 2019

Published

Like midwifery students of past years, I as well have fallen in love with Yale's GEPN Midwifery program. This question is about the personal statement.

Ive been told that this is the most important part of the application, and that it should tell your story. This was said by Dr. Korevec during the informational, so I'm fairly confident in knowing that's what they want. It should explain why Yale and why nursing. However, whenever someone proofreads my personal statement, they know I'm applying to Yale and say it reads too much like a story and not like a college application essay. It's happened like 3 times and now I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

thanks!

Can you suggest some good literature for me to learn more about Affirmative Action?

Anyone have any idea how long after the interview we have to wait for final decisions?

At the information session on Friday they said we should hear about decisions in January.

I got an interview on November 15th for the CNM/WHNP track! I received my confirmation email for submitting my application on October 3rd

Congrats to everyone who has received interviews! Has anyone gotten a rejection yet? I was complete on September 26th for PMHNP and haven't heard anything yet...

I also got an interview for Nov. 13th!! PMHNP! I completed my application by the Oct. 1st date. Does anyone know what the interviews are like or how many get accepted after the interview?

Congrats! When did you hear about the interview for PMHNP?

I heard just this morning (10/30)!

Oh hi everybody! I was posting on an allnurses thread that was much quieter, and just found this one. Congrats to everyone who got an interview! I woke up to that "Decision" email on 10/27 and ended up getting an interview for PNP on Nov 20! I was honestly so shocked, my stats aren't the greatest so I was not expecting to make it this far. I'm really glad it's held on Zoom, but I do wish I could meet some of you in person like, right now. I'm so excited!

Congratulations everyone!! I'm so excited for y'all!

Not going to lie, I'm getting nervous that they're just saving all the rejections for the end of the week but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Anyone else still waiting?

I'm also waiting for FNP. I'm hoping since some people are still applying they won't decide on rejections just yet. Waiting is really hard though.

Same exact anxiety that they're waiting til Saturday to release the rejections. Fingers crossed for everyone!!
