Hi everyone! Now that applications are starting to open for this cycle I thought I would start a thread. Is there anyone else that is starting the Yale GEPN application? If so, are you as overwhelmed as I am? Also, if there are any current GEPN students that see this thread, feel free to share any tips or your current experiences :) Thank you!
Thanks to all the previous GEPN applicants who have helped us along the application process. I'm quite thankful to have all of your input. It would be helpful to know some interview prep. I've read "just be yourself", however, any other bits of advice would be most welcome.
Thank you, and good luck to all those interviewing. I'll see some of you on the 25th!
cool, message me! I can't figure out how to do that on here
I think you can only PM once you're a more active member so I can't send one either, unfortunately.
I mean from what I'm understanding through the email, it is a fairly small group on each interview day and we go through group information sessions and then leave for our individual interview. If it does run that way I think it would be great since we can really get to know potential classmates throughout the day!
Hey everyone. I am currently prepping for an interview for the WHNP/CNM GEPN program on February 2. Any advice from current GEPN students on what their interview was like and how to best go around prepping for it. What type of questions do they ask?
I am also if anyone on this thread has been involved with the Global Health Concentration. This is something I have a particular interest in and would like to know more about it.
Thanks!!

Hi! The interview day will be mostly hearing information about the program, meeting staff, meeting current students, and then the 1:1 interview. Everyone was asked different questions. Everyone before the interview told me to relax and that it isn't as intense as the interviewees are thinking.... I know that it is impossible to do but it is seriously the best advice. I didn't get any questions out of the ordinary and it was more of a conversation than interview. You're going to do great! Relax and rock it!
Also, they make jokes about how interviewees all show up in black or dark blue suits (which is what I did) so feel free to change that up too. Go with what you know and what you'll be comfortable in. You'll be sitting most of the day.
GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!!!!

Now that we've moved on to thinking about interviews, do any current students have tips for how to prepare and what to expect?
