Yale GEPN 2016

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi all!

I didn't see a Yale GEPN 2016 thread, so I thought it would be good to start one! Does anyone know the average GPA and GRE score for the 2015 entering class?

I received my email notification today! So happy my application is complete : )

Hey guys! I have been reading along, but I haven't posted yet. I applied to the GEPN program as well- hoping to be a PNP! Wow this waiting really is the worst, even though it's only been a week haha! Has anyone heard from Yale about interviews?

What other schools did you guys apply to? I also applied to MGH and Boston College for their direct entry programs, as well as the ABSN program at OHSU in Portland. Heres to hoping we all get interviews!

Reading other year's posts, it sounds like we find out about interviews at the earliest mid-December, but many won't find out until the first week of January. It sounds like interviews are in January (mid Jan. and very end of Jan) and that we may be given 2 different options for dates. Again, this is just from reading past years' posts on here so you can search as well.

So... time to forget about this for about a couple months and enjoy life! Good luck to all :)

Good luck, everyone!

Hi Hummingbirdheartbeat,

I submitted my application on 28th October and got a completion notice on 29th. There was no signature but the address read, "...Sandy Esposito via technolutions" So if your fear is that it might not be an authentic response, it is.[TABLE=class: cf gJ]

Good luck to everyone as well!! and please post here if you hear anything about interview so that we could be attentive to what's going on in this process. Happy holidays!

Just wanted to let all of you know that I received an email stating that decisions will be made on December 15th. I am wondering if anyone else received such email. It said that interview decisions will be made on that date, and that if you were not selected for an interview that you will find out on that date as well. It also said that interviews will be held on January 28th, 29th and February 4th and 5th with decisions being made by March 1st. Anyways, just wanted to update everyone about this.

I got the email as well :) I love how Yale admissions updates applicants, this is the most I've heard than most other schools I have applied to! I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a certain percentage of applicants who get an interview? And from that number, about how many get accepted?

Got the email too

I got it too. But I was under the impression that they didn't interview for all specialties. Anyone know? Maybe I was mistaken. This email sounds like they do. Hmmmm...

Yeah, that says a lot about the school. I am wondering those statistics as well, hopefully someone can answer that.

Hi everyone! I am relieved to have my application in and am anxiously waiting until December 15. I read through the GEPN 2015 thread. One of last year's applicants received an email from Yale Admissions that said around 480 apply, 200 are interviewed, and 120-125 are admitted for a class size of 80. So around a 40% chance of getting an interview and 60% chance of acceptance after interviewing. I assume it will be relatively similar this year.
