hey you all,

did you all go to the pinning ceremony? do you think all the grads should go to the pinning ceremony? what was it like?

Our pinning ceremony was yesterday. I didn't go. I was planning on going, but I slept in past the rehearsal and said the heck with it. I ended up staying home and celebrating my graduation and new job with my family (wife, brother/sister-in-law, mom, dad, inlaws)and a few bottles of asti spumanti.

It is kind of funny though, because I got an email from one of my classmates this afternoon. They thought that since I didn't show up I must have failed the class.

I am definitely going to my pinning ceremony. I worked very hard for this degree. I graduate in May and will be proud to be pinned as a Nurse. I will be there!!

I am going to mine...we are having a private off campus pinning...no uniforms...no cheezy speechs...nice dinner and drinks to follow. I have been in school with these people for a looooooong time and this will be a good way to close it all up!!

It would have been nice to have a nice dinner party and wear street clothes. The person that was in charge of our pinning told us we could wear street clothes or our white uniforms.....and I'm like street clothes, of course....but then....she said "I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE YOUR UNIFORMS!" I thought that was a little rotten. Issues?
