WSU BSN Fall 2012

Anyone else who applied to WSU for Fall 2012? I filed my application on time (Jan 15, 2012), and got my transcripts to NursingCAS by the Feb 1, 2012 deadline. I just checked and it looks like NursingCAS finally completed my GPA calculations. Does anyone else know what will happen next? I know we will get letters by March 20, 2012. But, it would be nice if WSU would communicate to at least let us know if they have received our applications.

I don't think they put a ton of people on the wait list. Congrats on getting in! If anyone has any question let me know, I'd love to be of help.

can u guess how many they put on wait-list and how many end up getting in??

I'd say 15 ish, 20 at the very most, but thats me guessing, I say that because most people have a good chance of being accepted if they are on the waitlist. You could call and see if they would tell you.

Congrats Mrgie... I am so happy to see someone else on this forum getting in. I will be back May 21st to hear about the other members getting off that waitlist! What school did you apply to and what was your gpa?

Thanks, congrats to you too! I applied to Spokane and my GPA was 3.68, I'm not exactly sure what my prereqs was, but I'm betting it was around a 3.8? I never really checked my prereq GPA to tell you the truth! :)

Sami- I got accepted to WSU spokane campus but I am choosing to go to UW. So that opens up a spot and gives you a better chance:) Also, many of the people that applied to UW's nursing program also applied at WSU and will most likely choose UW so I would keep my hopes up:) You have a good chance of getting in!

It seems like every semester they pull people off the waiting list to start J1. I am now a J2 (yay) and my best friend in the program was called off the wait list. She was called on the day of orientation. So never give up!! I completed J1 with a 1 year old too, it was hard but very worth it. My advise: go on a nice summer vacation, and if you can get your hands on a patho book or notes do so. I wish I had a patho book to study before we started, it would of made my life 100% less stressful. I am in the Tri-Cities if anyone wants to do that :) (Patho/Pharm)
