Hi all! I just came back from writing the NCLEX-RN exam. I can't say I did well...But I also can't say I failed it either. I don't know how I'm feeling right now. I don't know...I'm just glad that it's done, I guess. :)
I had 90-some questions. I couldn't believe it would be over so soon. I was preparing myself to take the full 6 hours or do all 265 questions. The first time, I had 160-some questions. The second time, I had 230-some questions and ran out of time. Yes...This is my 3rd time writing the exam. For all the NCLEX-RN retakers, try to stay positive...continue to stay hard...try to stay motivated by focusing on your dreams on becoming a RN...and most importantly, keep up the faith! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
I had 2 new format questions...They were on medication calculations. I had about 5 medication questions. The rest was mainly, "Who will you see first?" "Which client should you call back first?" "Which statement if said by the client would indicate the teaching was effective?"
The exam was tricky and really makes you think. I want to thank all of you who have been keeping me in your prayers. I ask that you will continue to pray for me and that I will pass the exam this time around. I hope to have good news to share with all of you in mid-week. For those who are preparing to write the NCLEX-RN, best of luck to you! If you have any questions or anything regarding the exam, please feel free to e-mail me or reply to this message. Good luck with your study! For those who have passed the NCLEX-RN, CONGRATZ! I'm really happy for you! I hope to be able to write RN after my name too! :)
