Writing CPNRE in 3 weeks!

Published

Hi, I am writing my CPNRE on October 13th 2017 which is pretty much 3 weeks from now! I am extremely nervous for it.

I was wondering if I could get some tips on how to study during the last few weeks before the exam. Also, how did you find the CPNRE exam? Lastly, what should i bring to the exam?

HI, I'll let you know. I'm writing mine this 29th September. Goodluck to us! Cheers!

Wow, that is so soon! Good luck on the Exam!

I am writing on Oct 22nd 2017

Hi there, I just did my exam today. Question on what to bring: 2 pcs of ID. cellphones and any other personal things are not permitted, even bringing water inside the centre is a NO NO. They will give you a locker though to put your things in. TIPS.....know when to prioritize clients, when to delegate, nursing ethics, therapeutic communication. BE CONFIDENT! Good luck to us!

How was the exam? What study material did you refer? Gud luck.

Hi, how did u find your exam yesterday?

Hi, I used the prep guide 4th and 5th edition. If you want i can email it to you so you can practice. The structure and format is the same as the predictor test and the prep guide. Some questions are tricky. Don't fall into the "what if" syndrome. Whatever the question asked, the information given, that's it. DON'T OVER ANALYZE! I know i did some stupid mistakes of changing my answers and i realized i was right all along. Follow your guts. Miracles can happen. Crossing my fingers and praying. Goodluck!

Do we need to do study on drugs?

Yes... you should know the most commonly prescribed drugs, what they're used for, what assessment data you need before giving them, what the major side effects are, contraindications and what appropriate doses look like.

Was there a lot of Mat/Child questions on the exam?

I have been using the 4th and 5th edition of the prep guides to help me study as well and I am finding them really helpful. I also did take a predictor test, i found it tricky though but it was helpful for me to find where I needed to focus my studying. I have major test anxiety so all your responses are very helpful

I just hope i don't blank out and forget everything that would be my worst fear!
