wound Vacs

Had an interview with bayada yesterday...Went great....they told me the do a lot of wound vacs which has me a little worried.....I haven't seen one inn about 15 years and I never had to take care of one since the were fairly new when I last worked on the floor

Any tips tricks hints thoughts on them would be appreciated

The wound vacs stay on. In the home setting there are portable smaller version that even have a crarrying case for when a patient needs to leave the house.

I enjoyed wound care with the wound vac. The only problem is if you have several patients with wound vacs it will eat up your time like crazy. Not sure how it is in other parts of the country, but in my area there is no consideration given for this extended time when doing wound vac care. I have often thought that wound vacs an other complicated visits should be given more weight, but with the majority of agencies quantity rates way above quality, since quantity increases profits.
