Yes...the vested retirement is one of the things holding me back...I don't need medical benefits I get that through my husband..the hha is a big national agency....I enjoy the work and I'm.m intrigued by the flexibility...being able to go to my kids school for a couple hours for a Holiday party or do library time......the days I work at my current job I don't see my children....i leave at 5 am and they are asleep... when I get home it's time for them to go to bed and lately i've been getting out 2-2 hours late so sometimes they are asleep when I get home..I'm.m doing this for my family...there are some big changes that are going to happen at my current job and i'm not sure how it's going to impact my unit

nervous
So I've been doing homecare per diem since September...so far I love it...per diem kind of sucks because my schedule is so sporadic but the actual patient care and independence I love.....my agency offered me a full-time case management position.....I'm seriously considering it.....it means leaving my other job in the opcathlab where I have worked for 18 years...also a big decrease in benefits and small decrease in salary.....but I love the independence and flexibility to be able to do school things with my kids.......ggggaaaahhhhh...it's such a tough decision

telehealth nursing (not Tele triage)
Does anyone have any experience with this?? It's so do you like it?m what's the payscale like (I know it varies per state) but I'd it similar to homecare pay?? I'm curvy Working for Bayada per diem right now and will probably move to something full-time in the summer....a different home health care agency is advertising for a telehealth nurse....sounds interesting to me with the extensive cardiac background that I have Anyone have any thoughts TYIA

What do HH RN Case Managers do?
I'm m just per diem right now but our case managers work different..they basically are the person who coordinates ALL of the care for their patient....they know the "full picture" and are the go to person for questions....they are field nurses and are not based in they office..all of our paperwork is electronic..but their paperwork is no different than anyone else.....their one requirement is that they see their case management patients at least once a week...and other visits can be done by whomever is available.....they do not take call....we have specific call nurses...we also have OASIS nurses who just go out and open cases....the case managers will open cases if the oasis nurse schedule is full..

Good Home Care Agencies?
I do per diem for bayada....skilled visits...and love it...just started in september so I still have a lot to learn..have worked and still work in a hospital for 18 years....but I just interviewed for a full time position with bayada so we'll see So far I have found bayada to be a great company....everyone seems very nice...communication seems great do far and it sends like there is a ton of opportunity to grow with them.

Another "Should I Switch to Home Health" Post
To the origal poster......I could have written your exact post....except I have been in the Cath lab for the past 15 years....my stomach also sank after my interview with bayada....probably because of the thought of "change" leaving a position that I could handle in my sleep to one where I don't know all the ins and outs yet.....bayada is letting me work per diem on my days off from the hospital to get a feel for it and make sure I like it before I go and quit my other "comfy" job and go full time.....i think I have enough nursing experience to be ok just per diem for a little while so I can learn the documentation and the flow of things to be able to handle a full time position without feeling totally over welmed ....good luck to you....keep us posted....i'd love to hear how it goes

Interview - Clinical skills test
I just did one for Bayada...not sure if it was the same but it was multiple choice and it was so easy that I found myself second guessing my answers thinking they were trying to trip me up.....seriously the answers were so obvious....I got 50 out of 50 right...good luck
