How to draw labs in contracted pt?
I have a new home health patient who needs an INR drawn weekly. His arms are contracted, and I couldnt get a line in to draw blood. We sent him to an outpatient clinic but they had the same problem- they couldn't get it either. Now I'm told that he will be going to a special clinic just for coumadin patients. I am a new grad and I was wondering, couldnt I try his leg or foot?

Professional Nursing Organizations
I am a new ADN graduate seeking my BSN, and I need some help with an assignment. I recently moved to the state, and despite my (near-constant) job searching I have yet to land employment. That being said, my instructor asked us to interview a nurse who belongs to a professional nursing organization. Its just a few quick questions. If you could answer, I would be so appreciative! *What is the name of the professional nursing organization? *What is the focus of the organization? What are its goals? *What is the rationale for joining the organization? In other words, why would a nurse want to be a member of this particular organization? *When and where does the organization meet? For how long? How frequently?

Failed in Virginia, what now?
Still says no license. So I guess I wait to hear something official? Or is there anything else I can do to make the process faster? I waited 2 months for my ATT letter and then 3 weeks to test. So hard to wait!

Failed in Virginia, what now?
Took my test on 7/20, 5.5 hours and 265 questions. Tried the pearsonvue trick, I get to the CC screen. VA doesnt do quick results, and the license lookup page and phone number does not show any information. I was told if I passed, it would be up by Tuesday (today). So, I failed. Does anyone know if I have to pay for the state application fee again? Or just the $200 to pearsonvue? I couldn't find the information.
