Hello everyone!
I am a new RN supervisor (never been a supervisor before.. just charge) at my new job and I am beginning to do wound rounds starting TOMORROW. Today I did three assessments on three different admissions and kind of asked around about what I was supposed to fill out, how to chart, where to chart, etc.. I am kind of terrified (although I am confident in my appearance) to what the doctor and other supervisors are expecting me to do tomorrow while I follow the doctor around. I know I am supposed to do measurements and such, but does anyone know what I am supposed to expect? and what others are supposed to expect from me? Anything would be insightful at this point!
like I said, I am confident and willing to go the extra mile to do what I have to do to become good at being a wound care nurse but I am just semi nervous because I have never done this before.
Thank you for reading this post and I hope I get some positive responses and helpful comments!!

I would think that the expectations for your position would be (1) facility-specific, and (2) clearly outlined in your orientation. I'm doubtful that anyone online can answer your questions.

One thing I know we initiated at our LTC is taking photo's once a month of the wound (with permission of course) which enabled us to keep a good track on how the wound was progressing
