Let me clarify, Wound care cert would help in home health if it is truly legit. I did Legal Nurse, spent lots of money..yes I learned lots of great things but found their was no lawyer willing to PAY for that knowledge. A few would interview me to pick my brain but no real work and believe me I did try hard and follow every marketing tool they taught me. I need help in is this worth the money. I am 54 and doing RN-MSN right now..so not alot of money but willing to do if worthwhile.
Thanks so much for input!
I think it would be helpful only after you are hired for the first time because of it. I have extra certs that have never helped me get a home health job, only a mention one time for the possibility of doing staffing work. But I think it still looks good on a resume because it shows you took the initiative to further your education.

I work primarily in home health field. I was considering getting cert in Wound Care but I feel it may be like Legal Nurse consultant. Like some can make it work but in general it is not going to happen.
I just feel I need something to perk up resume, job opportunities.
Anyone with any knowledge, experience or ideas please share with me!
Thanks in advance for your help.
