I have known of a colleague who fell in love with a patient and eventually had a child with him. My question is, would you marry one of your "fabulous" or "charming" patients? I also know a Unit Secretary who married an alcoholic patient whom she met on the Psychiatric Unit she works on.
I can so relate...growing up, we put the fun in dysFUNction:rolleyes:(I guess that's where I get my rather macabre sense of humor as well, which sometimes others fail to appreciate:o)
I on the other hand are the measuring stick of normalcy.
<_>
>_>
[sigh]
My intuition is telling me "shut up".
From one macabre to another, I appreciate you!
Angel,
Girl, Where have you been...I used to live for your posts!...I did read the one about the clinic that you had going about 2 weeks ago but it was so serious...very good and well written but not the Angelfire that used to make me spit my coffee all over my computer screen. Saves my computer, but I miss it. Some of my fav's are the story about you on the porch of the restaurant and the rocking chair? and the one where you couldn't get out the house on time--both about a year ago..also the description you give of walking in crocs. Priceless...I'm a big fan.
Have missed ya!
diva;)
I seem to remember some funky handshake that involved such bizarre hand movements that didn't shake anything, except maybe their fingers- lol :)
LOL. When I lived in Hawaii, those long, drawn out secretive handshakes were THE THING. Me and my friends tried to get into it, but realized just simply saying "Hello" saved a lot of time. That and...........eh, I couldn't remember the steps so it was useless anyway.
