I have been reading articles about women who marry their "prison pen pals."
The "Night Stalker" married a woman with a bachelors degree in English and an IQ of 152. I read that "Scott Peterson" has received many marriage proposals from women. How about you? Would you marry your prison pen pal? :) Do you know women who married their " prison pen pals? How did it turn out? Thanks :)

Well, he may want one, but there's some pretty compelling ethical reasons to refuse. If active alcoholism can disqualify you from the waiting list, why shouldn't the fact that you're not likely to live more than 10-15 years max be a disqualifying factor? It does a disservice to the memories of organ donors not to use a system of distribution that maximizes the potential of their gift.

Geez, talk about something making no sense. He is awaiting death row :uhoh21:
He better not be taking up a slot on the waiting list :stone

I'm worried that he probably is on the waiting list. :angryfire I don't know. It seems everyone is so concerned these days with "inmate rights." :angryfire

Thats Cali for ya.
My mother in law married a conman just out of prison for debit card fraud in the early days of atms (early 80's) he was in 1/2 way house when they met. He became a general contractor and succeded very well for around 15 years or so. I worked for him and he WAS shady in taking advantage of people, knew how to work the system very well, but didnt do anything to REALLY get in trouble for.
then they moved back and forth across the state, and when she came back to town, he stayed to finish up a house he was building and sell theirs. after he didnt finish up in 4 or 5 months she paid him a surprise vist and found him with a young bartender girl shacked up with him, house trashed, his junkie 20yo something kids living there. they divorced and he has been back to jail for credit card fraud, domestic violence, and is using meth!!
I actually had a pretty personal acquaintance with Ken Bianchi "the hillside stangler". A more personable, intelligent, handsome, NORMAL guy, you have never met. Of course, the down side is that he killed 13 women. He too was married in prison. Also, a women went out and tried to strangle a prostitute locally while his trial was in progress, so the cops would think the strangler was still out there. the victim got away and that one went to prison too.
Bianchi did not get the death penalty, but will never be eligible for parole, I dont know why anyone whould marry him, but both of these women where not "loser" types, intelligent, good looking, educated too. Go figure?!?!?!?!?
What is uniquely Californian about a prisoner who is on kidney dialysis wanting a transplant? Don't prisoners in other states have that same desire? Also, psychonurse was who posted the story about the kidney dialysis patient, and unless I am mistaken, she lives in Oregon, not California! Sorry if I'm being oversensitive here, but there has been quite enough California trashing on the BBs in the last couple of days to last a long, long time...
When I lived in Fort Monmouth NJ (many years ago, I was in elementary school at the time) I lived down the street from Jeffrey Dahmer. Still have the copy of a sales form for candy bars we sold for school. He ordered 2 boxes. And we STILL let kids go door to door selling school fundraisers today! Think about it...

I most certainly did NOT vote in the Governator! That so many of my fellow CA residents demonstrated such misjudgment is a cross I'm forced to bear, but one for which I will accept no responsibility. That said, I don't really know any details about this case; could be that it was decided by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, who aren't elected.
