I'm looking for opinions here, this is something I have been thinking about recently. I have been an NP preceptor for eight years. Most of my students have been well prepared, but I have had a few that needed a lot of work to get them up to speed. I have been thinking about having the students do a physical on me at the beginning of the semester to get an idea of where their weaknesses may or may not be. Would this freak you out as a student? If you are a preceptor, have you done this? I would give them advance notice!!!

I think it sounds like a great idea, except for the obvious boundary issues -- are they going to be doing breast and pelvic exams on you?
No breast or pelvic!!!!
(Whew, that's a relief! :))
