Flo would work smarter, not harder. So yes I think she would.

In this age of increased (unnecessary?) charting activities in almost all areas of nursing, I think that Flo would see importance in the physical activity related to patient care. I hear my father's voice saying "what, are your legs broken?" But that may just be me.

Judging from all the recent school essays or hopeful-writer columns that have been posted here it seems Flo probably wouldn't have done what the essayist doesn't currently approve of.

When I saw your post title I thought, "Oh, no....he spelled segue wrong!" Cause I thought maybe you were going to comment on some of the interesting segues in these essays.

Hmmmm. So did you post about the Segway because of the segues?

Profound perspective, JKL: molding the individual to fit the essay.

I found the articles here on allnurses to be rather stimulating reading. So much so, that they inspired me to do a little more research on Ms. Nightingale, and found her to have been an extremely intriguing individual. I mean like, heavy-duty out of this world intriguing!

One of Ms. Nightingale's quotes, of numerous interesting quotes, that I would like to discuss:

"The martyr sacrifices themselves entirely in vain. Or rather not in vain; for they make the selfish more selfish, the lazy more lazy, the narrow narrower."

This is a concept that I've considered over the years, but had not seen it so well put as into words until I read Ms. Nightingale's.

What do y'all think?

Wow.

Two opposite opinions and I can agree with the premise of both: Prioritizing the expenditure of energy vs. the need for the Nurse to stay fit.

Interesting!
