Would this class be considered...

I'm at my wits end on trying to figure this out. Nobody at my own school seems to be able to help me. It's one f those "Go ask mom, go ask dad" situations. My own advisors are nearly impossible to find on campus.

I know it's different with EVERY school, but maybe you guys will have a general idea.

Would Political Science be considered a General Education Elective course?

Usually under social sciences. Most nursing schools specify electives such as general psychology, developmental psychology, sociology, etc.

yep, but it counts as institutional credit in cali so its useful when transfering to a university for your bsn

Your own nursing program advisor should know whether it fits the bill for a GE course for the nursing program. It's akin to basic-level social studies coursework, and if you need a GE for the degree then I would think your advisor would know this...?

That would make too much sense... apparently lol. I continuously schedule appointments with my advisor. I show up, they're gone. I follow their availability schedule to the T. They have 3 hours windows for free time, but are gone for lunch for 2 hrs and 45 minutes. Yes... I've waited THAT long for them to show up.

What about email you say? Yeah... I would never get a response. It's been so bad that I've had to go to student affairs to complain about the situation.

It's just so frustrating when I, or anyone for that matter, are trying to get the classes that they need in order to be successful.

You should be able to determine this from the website or the college catalog. CA community colleges and four year state schools have lists of the required courses for graduation, sometimes along with the equivalencies for the nearby feeder schools that have articulation agreements. Try to find this information online first, then seek a copy of the college catalog. If you can't get in touch with an advisor, I would write a letter to someone in the academic chain responsible for graduation decisions. Last, but not least, I would just enroll in the course with the hopes that once completed, I could use it as an elective someway, somehow. Your school sounds more unresponsive than usual. Hope you don't have problems getting your transcripts once you graduate or transfer.
