hi guys i'm freaking out because i just got off a 4on 2off shift at a new job and i am really sure i forgot to put an incontinence pad down on a resident's bed... am i going to get in lots of trouble? this is only my first week and it's my first cna job, i'm really worried... if i am going to get in trouble, any chance you can cheer me up with your worst mistake??

Calm down and take a deep breath. It is ok. You didn't cause any harm to a pt. We all get busy and forget things sometimes. You will not be in trouble

There's no way you'd be in trouble for this. Where I come from incontinence pads and diapers aren't even allowed to be used together. Your choice is either the pad or the diaper kept open and placed under the patient.

The fact that you even care makes me wish you worked on my unit.
