Worried on chances of getting into Chamberlain Houston BSN program.

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

I was trying to apply to this school at Houston (Chamberlain College of Nursing) I heard their classes starts every two weeks. I have a 2.902 GPA overall. BUT. . I also have credits already evaluated by spantran from Philippines. I haven't taken their Hesi A2 yet and I'm sooooo damn nervous what will the advisor is going to say over my transcripts and what are the chances of getting into their BSN program. I read a lot of rejection letters from them here, with 3.0 gpa and higher B's grade mark. My science pre reqs starts on higher B's as well. Is anyone here on the same boat? Was just trying to boost confidence, and I'm taking gen.pharmacology to get atleast a 3.0 cause i know I excell on those type of courses.

Best of luck to everyone am at the Houston campus and graduate in 2018

Thank you Lady Bug! If you don't mind me asking, what has your experience been like at Chamberlain?

It hasn't been too bad... it has taken me longer because I had to take my A&P over.. they expired.. if anyone on here that's an LVN please make sure that you tell them up front because you can test out of some courses.. my only headache I've had thus far..

If you need any help let me know...helping through nursing school is important

You have any syllabus or any other materials you can pass along through email for those of us who are going to potentially start soon to allow us to be better prepared for what is in the future?

Good luck! Fingers crossed!

Thanks! When are you going to apply? I was told since the Houston campus is not taking any apps they are pushing all apps to Pearland campus.

Did they give you a quick view of what (future) classes, and how many of it you can take on May?

Nope I havent been accepted yet but from what I was told I should hear something back by tomorrow about my acceptance as well as what courses transferred in. I gave them unofficials to review so far. If they tell me I am accepted I will then request officials. No sense in spending money if I dont get in. I am sure they will cover what classes I can take in May once we get past the acceptance stage but I will have to def. start out with the Transition to Nursing class. If everything transfers the way I have it mapped out I should only have 3 classes to complete from the first year. I want to know about if we can take more than what is required at once to get through the program quicker. Have they covered anything for you, and have you been to the Pearland campus yet? if so what did you think?

I have transition in Nursing for May, then Health assessment and pathophysiology on July. Then my first clinicals will be on September along with the Speech classe. Ms. Deanna, my student advisor from pearland told me that she don't wanna overwhelm me with too much courses, and also they are offering limited classes every 8 weeks. All in all, I am expecting to graduate by June 2019 :bluecry1: You'll get accepted for sure!!!

cool at least you already know what's going to be happening with your situation. I never got a call yesterday so I decided to call and ask what the status was. I was told the review committee didn't meet yesterday because there was a graduation and that I would hear something on Monday most likely. So I'm anxiously waiting for Monday to roll around.

Hey I got accepted! Just thought I'd give you the update.
