Worried on chances of getting into Chamberlain Houston BSN program.

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

I was trying to apply to this school at Houston (Chamberlain College of Nursing) I heard their classes starts every two weeks. I have a 2.902 GPA overall. BUT. . I also have credits already evaluated by spantran from Philippines. I haven't taken their Hesi A2 yet and I'm sooooo damn nervous what will the advisor is going to say over my transcripts and what are the chances of getting into their BSN program. I read a lot of rejection letters from them here, with 3.0 gpa and higher B's grade mark. My science pre reqs starts on higher B's as well. Is anyone here on the same boat? Was just trying to boost confidence, and I'm taking gen.pharmacology to get atleast a 3.0 cause i know I excell on those type of courses.

I too am trying to apply for Pearland's May start date. Are you planning on going to any of the Open Houses?

Hey Ladybug993 I was on the fence before about the Houston program and we communicated through pm a while back. Care to share more info about your experiences in the program ? When are you supposed to graduate?

Not sure about the open house visit but I am going on Tuesday to take the HESI. I need to study but my calculus class has me busy at the moment. I'm taking a minimester calc class. It's pretty fast paced. How about you are you doing any of the open houses? Hopefully we will be class mates.

Yes there will be one on January 26th. I signed up to go. It's from 4-7pm. Good luck in Calculus, itsthe worst lol! I really do hope we'd have a class together. Or at least link up on campus.

Ok I'll be in taking classes for the spring semester at Prairie View A&M at that time so I'll have to check my schedule but if I can make it I probably will sign up for that one. I'm kinda worried since it has been a few years since I last took anything geared toward nursing. And I'm not about to retake those classes lol but I'm worried I'll be behind everyone else if I get into the program.

You know anyone else looking to get into the May class? I've never really heard anything good/bad about the Pearland campus.

It's so disappointing, I went there today (Houston Campus) to see how's my registration status' doing. I've already done pretty much everything they asked me to do and pay (pre-payment $875, background check $150, etc) and I was already in the middle of doing the list of forms needed for clinicals (titers, flu, cpr, etc. .) Anyway, they just told me that before they could even get me registered for classes, I need to submit a proof of graduation (Highschool) which is like 5 years ago already, and it is outside US. I only have my diploma now because I went to Lonestar college without any of these proofs needed but only my diploma, and also I have credits taken in one of the university in Philippines (and let spantran do the evaluations). They turned me down because of that, considering they just told me that today and it is due this thursday. It's so ridiculous, now they're just telling me to apply to Pearland campus, and that's like 60 miles away from home. :(

I'm sure you will be fine! I've never taken any classes at all geared towards nursing. It's all about trial and error! I don't know anyone yet who attends or is trying to attend. BUT I have met with some of the teachers

Ouch!!! Don't give up buddy! It'll work out. Meanwhile I wonder if I can get your seat lol jk. Apply to the Pearland campus and start with me in May
