Hello
Has anyone taken Introduction to World Religion? If so, how was it? I have got to have 3.0 hours for humanities/electives and thought that I might take this.
Thanks

Although I have never taken this test, I know of people who have taken it. The feedback that I've heard is it's generally not too bad of a test as long as you come to the testing center prepared.
The humanities CLEP would be more bang for your buck because it is worth 6 semester hours at many schools.

I took the DSST DANTES Intro to World Religions and made an easy "A". The test went in the same order as the outline. I did take this test in Jan 2008 so it may be different now. I think it only gives pass or fail now like the CLEP exams. Good luck:yeah:!
Hey Melody
What did you use to study for your world religion test?

I also took it through DANTES in 2009 and made an A just a lot of memorization about the different religions. I used an TCN manual, can get them cheap on bay! Good Luck!

I used a used TCN guide I bought on Ebay, and I also used a great book called an Idiot's Guide to World religions.

I passed this a few weeks ago (I think that it is pass/fail now, as someone else mentioned) and it wasn't too bad if you were well prepared - I had a major block about learning the information since I am agnostic; would have preferred learning less about each religion's history and more about how they currently practice, but I'm glad to have it behind me. I used the text that Dantes recommended and Instacert. Yep, I'm another silly person who paid for the College Network and rarely uses it - my bad, and I learned my lesson.
Good luck with your studies!
