There are some work visas to Australia, which are given priority to RNs and MDs due to a shortage; however, you have to be sponsored. I'm just not sure how I'd go about finding a position that would be temporary, I will look to see if I find an agency! I read that AUS accepts US licenses but you have also have to apply to the state you are going to be working in. Maybe if I do find an agency they will help me with this process. I am doing this research now because I know it'll probably be a lengthy process but I think it would be very worth it! Thank you for the reply!

Hey everyone! I have a quick question to anyone who has experience with my situation. I have family in Australia but I live in the US, I am a new grad but I have a contract for two years with my first job (which I am really excited about). However, after two years, I thought about working in Australia for some time (visited-and loved it). Are there programs that would allow me to take assigment in Australia temporarily-maybe six mo to two years as an international nurse? I would love to spend some time with my family (located in Brisbane) and do some traveling to this beautiful country. Any information is very helpful!
